Holy Family Memorial

Since Holy Family Memorial opened in 1899, the facility has been and continues to be the largest provider of health care services in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Founded by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, Holy Family Hospital has evolved into Holy Family Memorial -- a comprehensive health care network made up of highly qualified health professionals who are dedicated to providing quality medical care to the residents of Manitowoc County, Wisconsin.


Holy Family Memorial's expanding health care network includes more than 1300 employees. Competence, courtesy and compassion are key elements at the medical center, physician clinics, Wolfe Pharmacy and Lakeshore Family Health Shoppe and Pharmacy, Nutrition Plus & Diabetes Center, Rehab Plus, Care Van, Work Health Options, Employee Assistance Program, and in all other programs.

Holy Family Memorial's medical center is located at 2300 Western Avenue. It is a fully-licensed 167-bed hospital with a wide variety of primary and secondary services and is accredited by JCAHO. Also located at the medical center are the Cancer Care Center, which is affiliated with the University of Wisconsin, providing comprehensive cancer services; the Heart & Vascular Center, which services patients with a wide variety of cardiac conditions and offers cardiac catheterizations locally; and Walk-in Care for minor illnesses and injuries. Other services/special features include: all private rooms, state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), stereotactic breast biopsy, new expanded surgical suites, massage therapy, a pain clinic, sleep disorders program and an occupational health program for area employers called Employer's Health Solutions.

Over 50 physicans are part of the Holy Family Memorial network. They are located throughout Manitowoc County at the following clinics: Cancer Care Center, Dialysis Center, Lakeshore Ear, Nose & Throat Associates, The Heart & Vascular Center, Holy Family Memorial Pain Clinic, Lakeshore Pediatrics, Lakeshore Urology, Lakeshore Women's Health, Clinic of Karl C. Larson, M.D., Lakeshore Family Medicine, Manitowoc Surgical Associates, Park Medical Center, Tamarack Behavioral Health Center, and the Woodland Clinic. Other physicians with the network include the physicians of the HFM emergency department, anesthesia department and pathology department.

   

Aurora Health Care

Continuing the tradition of Two Rivers Community Hospital, Aurora Health Care constructed Aurora Medical Center on Memorial Drive between Manitowoc and Two Rivers. Aurora will continue to use Two Rivers Community Hospital for a variety of non-acute services, including Hamilton Memorial Home, a long-term facility adjacent to the hospital.

   

   

The new facility offers leading-edge diagnostic and registration services, state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, modern surgical and laboratory services, as well as pediatric and maternity suites. Twenty-four hour walk-in care is available for non-emergency needs, as is medical care for work-related injuries, also on a 24-hour basis.

Among the quality services offered by Aurora are: family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, surgery, pulmonology, cardiology, ear-nose-throat, neuro-surgery.

The four-floor center includes a complete pediatrics unit, obstetrical service and Women's Health Center designed to encourage family involvement in the birth process.

The all new Aurora Medical Center, a high-tech, patient-focused facility, offers the latest in patient comfort and care. Patient rooms are private and spacious, many offering beautiful views of Lake Michigan.

Aurora Medical Center, with its glass atrium, four stories and 176,000 square feet of dedicated space, respresents the next generation of health care. The center will be the hub of Aurora facilities in Manitowoc County.
